What To Pack For Spring Break?

Winter is coming to an end, and spring is arriving fast. For many, this may mean Spring Break - particularly in popular destinations where the weather is much warmer than back home.

If you’re planning on taking a trip somewhere, it’s always a good idea to consider what to pack. In this guide, we’ll provide you with a few ideas of what to include in your luggage for spring break. The important thing to remember is to dress accordingly and be able to have the essentials to ensure your trip is successful. Let’s get started and take a look at the following packing suggestions and tips.

What to pack for clothing essentials?

It’s always a good idea to consider clothing to be a priority. However, you need to pack the appropriate attire that matches the destination. For example, if you’re going to a warmer location like the beach, obviously you don’t want to pack something that you would otherwise wear in cooler weather.

It will need to be something that is weather appropriate. For example, Vintage 1946’s Performance Solid Windjammer Hybrid shorts can be an excellent option for you if you’re planning a day at the beach. It will go quite well with t-shirts or even lightweight button downs.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to pack swimwear as well. Chances are you’ll either be swimming in a pool or even in the ocean itself. Regardless, pack an extra pair of shorts for this purpose.

If you’re planning on hitting up some classy places on your trip, you can plan to dress up a little sharper. In a warmer location, it could be a button down and a pair of Vintage 1946’s Performance Belted Cargo Shorts. What you may have noticed is that shorts can prove itself to be versatile for almost every occasion. It can be for casual dressy occasions or something that is a bit more relaxing.

If you’re not going to the beach, you’ll want to plan accordingly for the activities you plan on doing. You could pack a pair or two of shorts and even a pair of pants if you’re hiking. Likewise, pack t-shirts or long-sleeved shirts (not dress shirts) if you plan on hitting the trails while dressing appropriately for the weather conditions.

Footwear should not be forgotten either. Just like with the rest of your outfit, you need to wear something that is appropriate for weather and any terrain you might encounter. For example, sandals are excellent for the beach. If you’re going hiking, pack hiking boots. Get the idea?

Travel gear: What to include?

Aside from clothes, it’s always a good idea to consider packing plenty of travel gear and essentials. These include but are not limited to the following:

Travel adapter

Are you planning on bringing any electronics like laptop computers, smartphones, or related devices? If so, it would be a good idea to bring a travel adapter. If you plan on traveling outside of North America, it’s important to purchase a universal adapter that has plug-ins dependent on your geographical location. Did you know that the design for electrical plugins in Europe are different compared to the United States?

Portable charger

We live in an age where we rely on our smartphones. So it would be a good idea to ensure that it’s charged regularly. You’ll want to find a portable charger that is compatible with your device. Pay attention to what device you are using (Android or Apple) - because not all chargers will be the same.

Whether it’s a plug-in charger or something you can take on the go, make sure it’s a good fit for your smartphone. Because something made for Android devices won’t work for Apple devices (and vice versa).

First aid kit and medications

Health and safety should always be a priority no matter where you go. It may be a good idea to pack a first aid kit so you have the necessary items in case of injury or illness. Be sure to pack any medications you need to take (assuming you deal with a regular medical condition). Also, OTC pharmaceuticals for those “just in case” moments may not be such a bad idea either.

In the event of an emergency, dial 911 immediately. If you are planning on traveling internationally, get the emergency number for the country of destination. Also, consider getting a SIM card that will be compatible with your device for international travel, more or so in case you need to make emergency calls.
